Notice from Exam 1 to Exam 2 there was a huge increase(22%), but Exam 3 the increase was more modest (But serious 2% is a good amount of points). But this student did NOT give up and by the Final she went up again by a large amount (8%)!! In total if you add it all up from start to finish this student went up 32%!!

I am totally contented with the experience of having you as a tutor. Because I had an intensive schedule that afforded me a painfully limited amount of time to study for Orgo, I greatly benefited from all the time you saved me through very effective tutoring methods.
First of all, your explanations were clear and thorough, and you knew the material extremely well so that you could whip it out effortlessly. You also knew the idiosyncratic challenges of each professor. The way you wrote the material down on the papers you gave me was often much more effective to study from than either my lecture notes or the textbook.
But I especially appreciated the focus on lots of practice with sample problems and sample tests since Orgo is such a skill-based class. You gave me plenty of stuff to practice on, and the practice you gave me was compatible with the specific class I was in, unlike many of the textbook’s practice problems. In all, because of all the practice you gave me, going into the exams I knew that I had already done lots of problems similar to the ones I would be seeing.
Basically, all in all you saved me a ton of time. I felt bad for some of my friends in the class, because unfortunately without your help they seemed to be struggling with less effective ways of learning the material. I would highly recommend your services to anyone looking for an Orgo tutor!!

What I truly appreciated about having you as a tutor is that you were very in tune with my learning style and you knew that having me do all of the work on paper, do practice, and even understand the reasoning (minimal as it was most of the time) behind what I was learning was exactly what I needed to begin to do better in Orgo. You were able to help me understand that I did have the ability to understand the material if I was able to get an initial grasp on the concepts and if I did a lot of practice.

Romina was an amazing tutor and I would recommend her to anyone struggling in Organic. Even if you’re not struggling, tutoring can still be really helpful. She is friendly, intelligent, and well-prepared. Romina can always tell what you’re struggling with and will make you practice that. I felt embarrassed doing the things I was bad at in front of Romina at first, but I’m so glad that she made me practice, because that ended up being the stuff that I aced on the exam! My results with Romina were remarkable. I got B’s on the first two midterms, but after I started going to Romina, I got a 90% and a 95% on the 3rd midterm and the final. Actually, I ended up getting an A+ in Organic II, when I thought I’d get a B+ at best! Romina was a wonderful tutor and I’m so glad I went to her!

Romina was the most motivating and supportive tutor ever. I was seriously struggling with Orgo and thought I was about to fail but with her help I significantly performed better on exams and actually understood the material that I was being taught. She’s super friendly and does everything in pretty colors that really help guide you while going through problems. She is not only very intelligent, but also very understanding and knows what you’re problem areas are and will help you tackle them head on. I definitely recommend her to anyone who feels they are struggling to grasp what Orgo is, she’s definitely more than capable of helping you get the grade you want. I absolutely hated chemistry from the time I first took it in high school through orgo 1. That said, the only reason I passed Gen chem 1 and orgo 1 is Romina. She was willing to meet at whatever time worked with my difficult schedule, for as long as needed until I understood the material, and she sent an endless stream of support and practice problems when I considered giving up. Thank you again Romina for making orgo bearable and getting me through it so I never have to do it again!

If you’re planning on take organic chemistry, immediately get Romina as your tutor! I started tutoring with her as soon as I started orgo I and it was the best decision I made. Romina walks through each topic with you in a way that actually makes sense and provides helpful and funny tips to remember everything. One of the best things about having Romina as your tutor is the endless supply of worksheets she has for you to practice each topic which I wouldn’t have found, or done, without her. She pushes you to keep doing more worksheets to practice and without her, I wouldn’t have done nearly as well as I did. With all of Romina’s help, I was able to start the class getting B’s on exams and finished with an A on the final and an A in the class!! Don’t wait until you’ve taken and failed the first exam to start seeing Romina, start right away, I promise you that you won’t regret it.

I came to Romina after signing up to take Orgo 2 in a post-bac program, but realizing I didn’t remember anything from Orgo 1(which I took 3 years prior). Romina was amazing at essentially making a summer syllabus of the major topics covered in orgo 1 and spending the time to go through each topic with homework assignments and all! She is well organized, patient and has the best personality. What I really appreciate are her very colorful notes which are easy to look over and follow. The summer syllabus flowed right into my first orgo 2 sessions and I cannot express how grateful I am for her!

Romina has been a complete lifesaver for Organic Chemistry. She explains every topic in concise way that is easy to follow and makes sense! Her sessions are not just her talking to you- she asks you to do problems, and helps build your confidence by starting out easy, and working up. Practicing is one of the most important parts of Orgo, and Romina helps make that easy by providing worksheets on each topic. She tailors her questions and teaching around the professor your are taking (by looking at their previous tests and really analyzing what they are looking for) which helps set you up for success during test time. Romina is also just really fun- she uses lots of colors to make problems easy to follow, and helps talk you through any stuck points so you never really feel frustrated. She is the best tutor I have ever had!

After earning the lowest score I had ever received in my life, twice in a row, my confidence in myself and my abilities to succeed had plummeted. If it hadn’t been for Romina, not only would I have not passed Orgo I, but I would have failed the class feeling like I was just dumb. Romina took the time to simplify complex topics, and answer all my questions so that I left each session understanding the material we covered. She gave me helpful tips and tricks that made it easier to understand the material, as well as numerous helpful worksheets for practice. I actually went from earning a 27% on the first test (with the average being a 60%) to earning a 92% (with the average being a 65%). I can’t thank Romina enough for agreeing to meet with me at the end of the semester, and helping me to not only pass Orgo I, but leave the class with the confidence and motivation to do better in Orgo II.

Romina is an amazing tutor! She tutored me through Organic Chemistry 1 and 2. When Romina met me, I absolutely hated organic chemistry and dreaded our lessons. She, however, managed to turn that around in just 2 sessions. Romina is very passionate about chemistry, but more importantly passionate about making her students succeed. She goes over and re-teaches EVERY lecture to make sure you have understood the concept and provides you with an abundance of practice problems. Her worksheets are a godsend and you really do NEED to do them. When she says they’ll increase your grades, she’s not lying. My grades shot up by 40 points, not to mention I actually gained an understanding and appreciation for chemistry that wouldn’t have been there otherwise.

Romina helped me immensely with Organic Chemistry 2, I would not have been able to pass without her. She broke down each confusing topic for me into simpler reactions I could understand at my own pace, which was really important for me. Additionally, she has a ton of practice problems, and seeing her every week helped keep me accountable for completing the extra practice that helped me stay on top of my game. In fact, my professor told me (out of a class of 250 students) that he had noticed my meteoric rise in exam scores from the first to the final exam and was impressed with the work I put into his class.

I genuinely would have failed Organic Chemistry 2 without Romina’s help! I went from getting a 40% on the first exam to getting a B+ in the class and I genuinely do not think I could have done that on my own. She is amazing at explaining all of the concepts in a way that neither the book or the professor ever did, and her sheets where she wrote out all the concepts as she was explaining them to me were my lifeline when it came time to study for the final. She helped me realize that I was not in fact dumb, I just needed that little boost to help me understand and make me into a better orgo student. Romina has honestly been the best tutor I’ve ever had. She made SO many accommodations for me so that I could tutor with her while she was in Maryland and I was at school in California. Beyond her knowledge of the material, she shows so much passion and you can really tell she loves what she does. She was beyond patient with me and never made me feel like I wasn’t smart enough to grasp the topics (even when she had to explain the same concept atleast 5 times lol.) her reassurance and encouragement meant so much and I definitely wouldn’t have gotten through my classes without her. After tutoring with Romina for orgo 1 and getting an A, I knew I wanted to tutor with her again for orgo 2. Since she helped me incredibly in orgo 1 and I actually learned all the topics thanks to her notes and worksheets, I already had the skills necessary for orgo 2 and with her help, I was able to refine my skills to continuously get As (including a 100%) on exams. Romina was able to figure out my weaknesses and make me practice again and again the problems I kept getting wrong so that I could end orgo 2 with an uncurved A+!! Starting tutoring with Romina as soon as I started orgo 1 and continuing it for orgo 2 was one of the smartest decisions I made all of college and was 110% worth the time and effort!! Thanks to Romina I can actually say I enjoyed orgo!!!

Romina was one of the best tutors, if not the best tutor I have ever had. Her persistence, and encouragement made my experience in Dr. Dixon’s ORGO 1 class very satisfying and enjoyable. Going into orgo, I would recommend getting Romina as your tutor right from the start. Her worksheets and notes are extremely beneficial. Of course organic chemistry is a difficult subject so you must put in outside work, but Romina will help guide you for what to focus and put your time towards for your own independent study. Romina’s guidance and knowledge, and your own hard work and motivation is the ticket to success in organic chemistry. With Romina, I managed to go from a 65 on my first exam to a 97 on my second exam and finished with an A in the class. I can confidently say that I do not think I would have been able to get an A without Romina

She teaches everything you need to know for your exams, she writes notes for you in a way you will understand and she also provides SEVERAL worksheets for you to use to help you better understand the material. When I signed up for Dr. Dixon, I had heard the countless tales of her class being extremely difficult, but with Romina’s help from the beginning I was able to go over each topic again with her and make sure I understood it even if I got left behind in lecture. She gave me confidence that helped me to be above average on every exam and truly feel like I learned a lot with her knowledge, worksheets, and overall motivation that I’m now not as nervous for orgo II coming up. I fully recommend Romina because she breaks down topics into manageable bits and with her splashes of color and amazing humor makes orgo fun! Don’t fall into the trap of Dr. Dixon being impossible because she’s not as long as you put in the work, which Romina helped me do to the point of me loving not only orgo, but Dixon’s class!

Romina is fantastic!! I went from getting under 50% on my first exam to ending with an A in the class! During sessions, she explains topics thoroughly and answers all my questions clearly to make sure I understand everything. Her colorful notes help A LOT!! Before my first time meeting Romina, I hated orgo, but now I’m excited to continue with her in Orgo II! There’s no way I could have gotten through Orgo I successfully without Romina, I highly recommend!!

Romina is the best! I struggled with orgo and failed my first exam, but with Romina’s help and A LOT of work I went up 70 points on the next exam! I had a really difficult professor for orgo 1, but Romina was there for me every step of the way and I could not have passed the class without her! Organic chemistry takes a lot of work, and Romina is there for her students with a lot of guidance and knowledge to help you pass the class. She taught me so many helpful study tips and tricks to help me manage my stress and anxiety about the class, as well as tutoring me on the information and topics I was struggling with (which she did an amazing job at!). Now I have a much better mindset about organic chemistry, and I am ready to take on orgo 2 with Romina!!!

Romina is a chemistry GODDESS. I am a biochemistry major but could not understand organic chemistry for the life of me. My first test I got less than a 50%. The same can be said for my second test. My friend then asked me if I wanted the information of her tutor. I was so lucky that that tutor was Romina! She worked with me on the next three tests and the final. I went from failing the first two tests to getting a B on the third and fourth, an A on the fifth, and an A on the final. I ended the course (while starting at a literal F) with an A, all thanks to Romina. She explains things very well and will try a different way if you don’t understand. She hands out amazing worksheets that really help. Of course, you actually have to put in the work too, but Romina makes it so easy to understand. 10/10 the best tutor I have ever had, and I 100% recommend her for all chemistry topics. She rocks!

She never stopped believing in me and took as much time as needed to make sure I understood every topic! 29, 84.7, 94. These are my exam 1,2 and 3 grades, in order, from Gen Chem 1 (with an expected cumulative grade of B+ or A-). This positive trend is a result of Romina’s guidance, tenacity and ability to explain difficult concepts. I am a pre-vet student that struggles with Chemistry and got sacked with a less than helpful professor. GSS is of no help to me. I require one on one sessions and a guiding light when learning a difficult topic. Romina was that light. If you apply yourself and study with her, you will see improvement. I did!

I’m going to be straight forward and say that Romina is hands down the best tutor I have ever had. She was organized, bubbly, caring, motivating.. everything you would want your tutor to be. She made learning orgo actually fun, I looked forward to our tutoring sessions because she made me feel smart and capable of doing well. I had a really bumpy start with chemistry- I failed gen chem 1, retook it, got a C+, got a C in gen chem lab, got a C+ in orgo 1 and a B- in orgo 1 lab and ended up BUT after starting my tutoring sessions with Romina, I got an A, yes, an A!! in Orgo 2 and most likely another A in Orgo 2 lab and it’s all thanks to her. I honestly wish I found her sooner and totally recommend her for anyone taking Orgo 1 and 2. Trust me, she knows her stuff and knows how to teach it to you in a painless manner. I got a 72% on my first exam which was crazy because Ive never gotten more than a 68% in chemistry before and then got a 90%!!! on my second one (mix of exam materials 2 and 3). I thought online tutoring would suck during the pandemic but she made it awesome. Thank you Romina ❤ I'm forever grateful for your help 🙂

Romina is such a good tutor! This was the second time I took this course, and I with her help I at least DOUBLED all of my previous scores on tests. Orgo was not a subject that came easily to me, but she was able to break down all the topics and make them make sense to me. The first time I took this course I got a C+ overall, which was a heavily curved grade and this time, I got a B un-curved! I even got an A on an exam. I believe without Romina’s help I would have done poorly in this course the second time around too. She teaches you ways to remember things and then gives you so many extra worksheets to help practice all the topics. I would recommend getting Romina as a tutor your FIRST time taking the course so there doesn’t have to be a second time. Even when everything was moved online she was able to help immensely and provide remote support. She’ll answer your questions over text, email, and the online forum we used for the remote sessions even on days when you’re not tutoring with her. Romina is simply the best tutor you’ll ever use throughout your time in college because she understands that this is not an easy subject for many people and she is able to help you grow from all levels:)

Romina is honestly just the best tutor. She really knows how to teach you topics better than your professor and can always point out the root cause of something you don’t understand. She always provides practice to make sure you have the resources to succeed. She definitely helped improve my grade in the class from below average on the first exam to an A- in the class overall. Deciding to come to Romina for tutoring was the best thing I could have done for myself while taking organic chemistry. I struggled a lot with even basic concepts and Romina was so skilled at breaking down and simplifying concepts for me to better understand. She pushed me and made it clear that I needed to put in the work to see the results I wanted. She provided many useful materials during sessions and for extra practice which shows how her resources continue to help outside of the 1 hour sessions. I genuinely do not think I could have passed the class without her help and now that it’s all set and done, I can honestly say I enjoy chemistry which was far from the truth before working with Romina. She is the best tutor I could have imagined working with. I started the semester off at a low point without her, but by the end with her help, I got a B+ on my final exam which I would have never imagined was possible. Thank you Romina !!!

I am so thankful I found Romina after bombing my first Orgo 2 exam. She was super helpful and a lot more approachable and honestly better at explaining concepts than my professor was, and I was able to make significant increases on my other two exams with her help and all the resources she provides. I was sure I was doomed in the class when I got that first exam back, but with her help I finally felt like I was able to get a decent grasp of the material! Organic Chemistry is certainly one of those classes you need to put the work into, but I highly recommend Romina as a tutor, she is literally the best!!

After ending Orgo I with a C+ the first time around, I wanted to retake the class with nothing lower than an A- the second time around. After the first exam, prior to seeing Romina, I had earned a B. I wanted to see Romina in hopes to be pushed harder into the “A” range. She provided me with tips and tricks, clarification on rules, and gave me insight on what to expect on the exams. She was eager to provide me with practice problem sets, challenging problems, and was always very responsive to my questions and concerns. My exam grades immediately started to go up, and I ended with an A! I highly recommend seeing Romina. If you’re willing to put the work in, she will get you to an A.

Romina was an excellent tutor! She was very good at making concepts much easier to understand and provided helpful tips to remember important topics. She also has plenty of worksheets that are great for practicing certain skills. Even with the transition to online tutoring because of the coronavirus she remained very organized and available to answer any questions I had. I would 100% recommend tutoring with Romina starting from the very first class! I wouldn’t have been able to get a B in Orgo without her help.

Romina did an amazing job tutoring! I did a lot of group sessions, but she made them feel extremely personal and she was willing to answer anything and everything. She spent a lot of time sending us practice problems and helping us prepare for exams. I also had 1 on 1 sessions, and she broke down hard concepts into very understandable parts. She taught efficiently and effectively. Orgo 1 was hard but she set me up with all the tools, and I ended up getting an A! I even got over 100% on one of my exams because I was so well prepared. I had Dixon for orgo and shes extremely challenging, couldn’t imagine taking the class without Romina’s help!

Romina was an excellent tutor! I am someone who has really struggled with chemistry in the past and had no experience with Organic chemistry. I went to one-on-one sessions and group sessions that also felt very personalized. Even though tutoring was online, it was just as good as seeing her in person because she was organized and had everything set up. With her I was able to learn Organic Chemistry and hard concepts from the start of a new topic, since she explained concepts in ways that my professor could not. Romina also gives excellent tips and practice problems, so you are well prepared for exams. Organic chemistry was a challenge and not an easy class to get through, but Romina was amazing not only as a tutor but as a mentor. Previously in chemistry I would score in the D range but with Romina I was able to get a B in the class which is incredible. I could not imagine taking this class without her help!

Romina was an amazing tutor. I am someone who has struggled with test anxiety and she understood that and helped me find new ways to overcome these challenges in this orgo course. I honestly could not have gotten through this semester and passed this class without her. I am so appreciative for all of her help. Romina is definitely one of the best tutors I have ever had! I can honestly say that I saw drastic improvement in my understanding for orgo. I always felt like I didn’t know what was going on in the class, because all the info from the lectures was jumbled up in my mind, and after coming out of a 1 on 1 session or group session, all my confusion would fade away. There is almost no way I would have fallen off track with orgo, because Romina was always checking up with me and keeping me motivated and looking forward! Romina supplied me with quite literally endless amounts of practice problems, and always pushes you in the best way possible to succeed! She also understands what every orgo student is going through, and you can genuinely tell that she cares for our success!

Words will never be able to express how grateful I am for Romina. I came out of Spring 2020 with subpar orgo1 skills (thanks covid) and took Orgo2 during the summer. It was a condensed, fast-paced course and ran me over. Mid-summer semester I recruited Romina to help me and it was the best decision I ever made. She showed me learning new Orgo approaches and increased my understanding substantially. Even though I had to retake this course, she stuck with me for two semesters and am proud to say I passed this course and gained a friend:)

I just finished both semesters of orgo and I’m SO HAPPY Romina tutored me through it all. She can explain things in a way that is so much easier to follow than the professors and makes sure you are very prepared for exams with her worksheets. I ended with an A+ in orgo 1 with Dr. Dixon and an A+ in Orgo 2 with Dr. Wang during my first semester of in-person classes, and I even got a 100% on an exam. There’s not enough words to describe the job Romina has done. I got a 14 on my first orgo exam and was extremely down on myself for that and strongly considered dropping the class. Organic chemistry was the first time I felt like I may be I wasn’t good enough to be in college but Romina gave me confidence in areas I didn’t know I had. Romina was extremely patient with me on days I was down on myself as well and pushed me when needed. Nevertheless, I started with an F in orgo and passed with Romina’s help so if you’re looking an organic chemistry tutor, Romina is the BEST option.

Romina is a phenomenal tutor who I highly recommend. I just took orgo 1 and got a B+ which is a grade I never thought I would get in this course. I got a 48 on the first test and with her help I was able to get C’s on the rest which boosted my final grade. I am looking forward to using her again when I take orgo 2 and am confident I will do just as well in orgo 2 as I did in orgo 1 with her help!

This is my second semester with Romina as my tutor and both semesters I have done well with her help. The first time I took general chemistry, I got a D in the class but I retook the class and with Romina’s help I was able to get an A the second time around. Romina also helped me get a B in orgo 1. She has tons of resources to send you if you feel like you need more practice and is always willing to make time for you. I can say with total confidence that if I didn’t have Romina’s support, I would not have passed general chemistry or orgo 1. If you’re thinking about getting a tutor, do it. Romina is worth it!

I took gen chem this past semester and could not have done it without Romina’s help! I was struggling with the material early on and got a 36% on my first exam, but after beginning tutoring there was an extremely significant increase in my exam grades. It can be really hard to understand material when in a big lecture room and Romina was able to break down every topic into simple steps that made the class so much easier. I was able to end with a B in the class and probably would not have passed without her! I was always provided with practice worksheets to make sure the information stuck which was very helpful. I highly recommend Romina as a tutor for any chemistry course, especially if you struggle to pick up material in big classroom settings.

Romina helped me to love organic chemistry. I got an A in organic 1 and 2 thanks to her help. She is fun, spunky, and passionate about orgo. To me she is not just a tutor, but a mentor and a friend.

Before I started tutoring, I was failing organic chemistry. With tutoring, I got an A in the class. She reiterates concepts in a way easier to understand, and her pool of worksheets and practice problems is key to doing well on the exams.

I worked with Romina for both Orgo I and II. She is an incredible tutor! Orgo can be overwhelming and difficult but Romina helps simplify concepts and provides so much practice. She helped me pass Orgo I and I ended with an A- in Orgo II!! I’m beyond thankful I had her help.

I love Romina! She helped me with ochem when I was confused. She explained the subject in relatable terms. She went above and beyond by studying my course material and course schedule. I got an A in my ochem 2 class!
